Delayed Returns to be Accepted by IRS February 14th - R&G Brenner

Written by R&G Brenner | Jan 20, 2011 6:48:26 PM

Due to late changes in the law the IRS has delayed the processing of certain returns.  Though the return cannot be processed until the newly announced date of Monday February 14th, there is no reason to delay the preparation of your returns.

The IRS reminded taxpayers affected by the delay they can begin preparing their tax returns immediately because many software providers are ready now to accept these returns. Beginning Feb. 14, the IRS will start processing both paper and e-filed returns claiming itemized deductions on Schedule A, the higher education tuition and fees deduction on Form 8917 and the educator expenses deduction.

R&G Brenner has the capabilities of preparing the tax return now, and e-file them out as soon as the IRS will allow.
